Andre Schuen
Andrè Schuen studied solo, lieder and oratorio singing at the Salzburg Mozarteum and also attended various master classes. In 2006, the sensitive baritone from South Tyrol made his debut at the Salzburg Festival and initially made a name for himself as a lied singer, while he was also a member of the permanent ensemble at the Graz Opera from 2010 to 2014. Andrè Schuen has thus acquired a multidisciplinary repertoire early in his career. Today, engagements take him to renowned houses and festivals, including the Bavarian State Opera, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Hamburg State Opera and Elbe Philharmonic, the Schubertiade and the Bregenz Festival.
In the Lied field, Schuen, who was born in 1984, performs with his sisters, the Boulanger Trio and piano partner Daniel Heide, among others. His opera repertoire includes the title roles in Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, or Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) and Don Fernando (Fidelio).
