Amartuvshin Enkhbat

Enkhbatyn Amartüvshin, internationally known as Amartuvshin Enkhbat, is a Mongolian operatic baritone born on March 23, 1986, in Sukhbaatar. He began his career as a soloist at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Mongolia and quickly gained recognition by winning first prize at the 2012 Operalia Plácido Domingo competition, among other international awards. Enkhbat has since appeared on the world’s leading opera stages — including La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, the Vienna State Opera and Deutsche Oper Berlin — praised for his rich, velvety sound and commanding stage presence. Renowned for his performances in the Verdi repertoire, his signature roles include Rigoletto, Nabucco, Amonasro, Germont and Scarpia, and he has been repeatedly honored as one of the world’s top baritones.
