Steeped in a deeply rooted musical tradition, Turin offers at the Teatro Regio an opera programme of outstanding artistic quality, presented in a theatre of unique architectural character.

Entitled “Fatale”, the 2026–2027 opera season opens with an exceptional tribute to verismo through the celebrated double bill Cavalleria Rusticana and I Pagliacci by P. Mascagni and R. Leoncavallo, combined with two rarer works by the composers, Iris and La Bohème. The season will also highlight Edgar, an early work by G. Puccini, alongside new productions of La Traviata and Carmen. Salome by R. Strauss and Eugene Onegin by P. I. Tchaikovsky further enrich this intense and dramatic programme, in which characters confronted by forces beyond their control embody the central thread of a captivating season placed under the sign of fate.
